Stinky fur story.

Posted by: Emma Tombling
Phewee...what a stinker! Kane came back from his walk in the woods this morning and he hummed. The car hummed, the husband hummed and thankfully they only got as far as the garden and the hose. Yes, you guessed it - Fox pong! I wouldn't have let either of them into the house anyway.

Apparently, tomato ketchup is very good at ridding your canine of it's pong. I didn't know that. I thought it was just for ladies with hair dying accidents and green hair from the swimming pool.

We just shampooed him twice and gave him a good rinse. Afterwards he hared around the garden letting off steam and then grabbed his dog blanket and tossed it into the air before dragging it back to his (thankfully waterproof) bed and biting it contentedly.

In the winter it's quite a rigmarole if you're running late for work and he does the quick head first fox pong roll in the forest when you least expect it. You know the one. We have to dress up in our waterproofs and wellies and get bowls of warm water to douse him down. I'm very fond of Kane, or 'STINKY' as he's affectionately known but why oh why does he have to have such disgusting habits?
